Outbound Crossplay Status
Outbound does not support crossplay at launch. Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo players cannot freely join one shared co-op pool. If co-op is the reason your group is buying the game, everyone should buy inside the same store or console ecosystem.

Outbound Online Co-op Support
Outbound has online co-op for up to four players. That means your group can explore, gather, build, and manage the camper together online, as long as everyone is playing inside a compatible ecosystem.
Crossplay is different from online co-op. Online co-op means multiplayer exists. Crossplay means different store or console ecosystems can join each other. Outbound has the first one, not full crossplay.
Before Your Group Buys Outbound
Steam group, Xbox ecosystem group, PlayStation group, or Nintendo group. Mixing stores is where people get stuck.
Console online play may require the platform's paid online service.
Game Pass can affect access and cloud play on Xbox, but it does not magically connect Xbox players to Steam, PlayStation, or Nintendo players.

Does Outbound have multiplayer?
Yes. Outbound supports online co-op for up to four players.
Does Outbound have local co-op or split-screen?
No. Outbound does not support local split-screen or couch co-op.
Is Outbound on Game Pass?
Yes, but the answer depends on tier and access type. The Xbox page lists Outbound as cloud playable with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. For Xbox Game Pass Essential or Premium cloud play, the page says game purchase is required.
Can Game Pass players join Steam players?
No. Game Pass access does not add crossplay with Steam.
